Abstract

502,995. Spraying liquids. BERNHARDT, R. June 7, 1938, No. 16905. [Class 102(i)] In a pump which is adapted for spraying liquid from a bottle or other container; the cylinder 7 is of sheet metal with an integral lower end having a beading 9, which rests on the bottom of the container, and is formed with grooves 14. The end has an inlet opening 12 with a ball valve 13. The tubular piston 21 is closed by a washer 18, hav-, ing a seating for the valve 20, and held in place by the plunger return-spring 17. The latter also holds a guard 15 for the valve 13. The upper end 24 of cylinder is beaded to retain the plunger. The discharge tube 23, which is secured in the plunger, carries a thumb piece 26 for hand operation.
