502,753. Combined table and bookrack. GRIMWOOD, H. G. Oct. 27, 1937, No. 29293. [Classes 52 (i) and 52 (iii)] A combined table and portable bookrack comprises a skeleton framing F, G with removable shelves K, one or more of which can be unfolded to form a book-rack A, B adapted to be placed in varying inclined positions within the skeleton framing, resting upon one of the horizontal shelves. The shelves K are supported upon cross-bars G and have fillets L taking between the cross-bars. The foldable shelf comprises a back B and ledge A hinged together at M, the ledge fitting in a recess in the back when folded. Fillets C, C<1> corresponding to the fillets L are fixed to the undersurface of the back B, the fillet C being adapted to rest on a longitudinal bar D to support the back in the inclined position, the ledge then resting on buttons E fixed to the legs F. Ornamental panels may be provided in the ends of the framing.
