500,937. Revolving-cylinder pumps or compressors. YOXALL, J., and PROPELLO INVENTIONS, Ltd. Aug. 16, 1937, No. 27073 /38. Divided out of 500,299. [Classes 8 (i) and 102 (i)] [Also in Group XXIX] A fluid motor or pump comprises a rotor 17 mounted on an extension 15 of the casing and provided with pistons 29 pressed by springs 31 against a plate 81 bearing on a plate 42 carried by a bearing 82 in a housing 32 pivoted at 50 and loaded by a spring 51 which presses it against the abutment 53. As the pressure in the cylinders rises, the inclination of the housing 32 is reduced to reduce the stroke of the pistons 29. A dashpot may co-operate with the spring 51 to reduce flutter. The abutment 52 of the spring may be adjustable. The rotor 17 is driven from the shaft 16 through a coupling 19. In a modification, the ends of the pistons have hooks engaging short shafts carried by the plate 42.
