Abstract

499,928. Bearings. TRIONE, G. April 19, 1938, No. 11675. Convention date, April 17, 1937. [Class 12 (i)] A bearing comprises a loose bush 3 between inner and outer rings 5, 1, the parts 1, 3, at least being formed of part circular sections and the bush being shaped so as to prevent relative axial movement between the three parts 1, 3, 5. As shown the inner surface of the bush 3 is spherical or spheroidal, and the outer surface is cylindrical with end flanges 4. The parts of the outer ring 1 are held together by screws, and the inner ring 5 is held on to the shaft by screws or by resilient or threaded rings. The separating cuts of the rings may be inclined to the bearing axis. The bush preferably consists of a steel core coated with an antifriction bearing metal.
