499,780. Kinematograph apparatus. KODAK, Ltd. July 29, 1937, No. 20984. Convention date, Aug. 11, 1936. [Class 97 (i)] In apparatus including a dissolving shutter having a pair of blades relatively movable to an open or a closed position by an operating lever, the lever actuates a normally inoperative warning signal when it has moved the blades to a closed position. The lever 9 operates the shutter blades (not shown) by a pin 8 and, in the closed position of the shutter, engages a projection 21 of a lever 20 pivoted at 25 and pressed by a spring 24 against a stop 26. The lever 20 carries a spring 22 guided by a pivoted post 23 so that on rotation of the lever 20 by the lever 9 the spring 22 engages projections 19 on a disc 16 rotated by the mechanism and causes an audible signal to be emitted. The signal may be visible or one detectable by touch. U.S.A. Specification 1,912,749 is referred to.
