Abstract

499,212. Cables. FELTEN & GUILLEAUME CARLSWERK AKT.-GES. July 17, 1937, No. 19872. Convention date, Sept. 3, 1936. [Class 36] A concentric conductor cable has its outer conductor formed of two superposed layers of metal bands helically applied about the cable core, the band or each band, of one layer being provided with a central longitudinal projection which prevents lateral displacement of the band or bands of the other layer, which latter band or bands have no projections and cover the gaps between the turns of the band or bands of the first mentioned layer. The Figures show return conductors formed of thin bands 1 having central projections 2 which retain in position thicker smooth bands 3. The bands 3 may be of rectangular or trapezoidal cross-section.
