[Class 27] In prepayment metering mechanism, particularly for controlling the supply of electricity, of the kind in which a separate and complete cycle of operation involving testing of the coin size is effected for each coin inserted and in which the quantity-mechanism is actuated only if the coin conforms in size to that of a predetermined coin or any one of a number of predetermined coins, a coin shoot connecting the coin slit with the prepayment mechanism is adapted to receive a plurality of coins of similar or varying values or tokens when inserted in immediate succession, means being provided to hold the coins within the shoot and to feed them one by one in the order of their insertion into the mechanism so that a number of successive operative cycles of the mechanism can take place each corresponding respectively with one of the inserted coins. A prepayment mechanism incorporating the invention is described which is identical with that of Specification 497,837 to which reference is made. Specification 415,721 also is referred to.
