[Class 64 (i)] A boiler a connected by a pipe e with an automatic float feed tank d has at its upper end a vent pipe j controlled by a thermostat h in the boiler, and a pressure valve f in a gas feed pipe g is closed when the theirmostat closes on rise of temperature the vent pipe j, increasing pressure in the boiler also causing water to rise in an open-ended pipe l extending from the bottom of the boiler to well above the top. When water is withdrawn through the pipe l or a pipe m, cold water enters at e and the thermostat h then re-opens the vent pipe j. A pipe k equalizes pressure in the boiler and feed tank d. Water tubes may be arranged spirally across a flue b.
