Abstract
497,569. Spraying-apparatus. HARTLEY, H. July 20, 1938, No. 21589. [Class 69 (iii)] [Also in Group X] Apparatus for spraying cement and like substances comprises a number of combs 2 rotatably mounted in a chamber 1, and a hopper 7 disposed partially or wholly above the chamber with which it communicates through a slotted plate 8. The arrangement is such that the tips of the combs upon passing through the slots pick up a quantity of cement which is subsequently thrown in a forward direction by the combs after the latter has been flexed by a deflector bar 10. A plate 8<1> may be arranged behind the plate 8 and is adapted to be moved to cover the slots in the plate 8 when the apparatus is not in use. The bar 10 may be adjustably mounted in radial slots 9 formed in the end walls of the casing, and the combs may be secured in slots of a drum 3 by means of removable rings 6.
