Abstract

497,384. Spray-producers. GARDNER, C. E., and GARDNER, F. C. Aug. 11, 1937, No. 22080. [Class 69 (iii)] An atomizer, more particularly for moistening or conditioning pulverulent material, comprises an air jet w rounded by a liquid jet having a restricted opening into an atomizer nozzle s and a control valve to afford simultaneous adjustment of the air and liquid supply. The forward end of the air jet tube is coned and furnished externally with grooves communicating with the liquid jet tube. The valve comprises a conical plug i having tangential slots j, k at different elevations cut at an angle relatively to one another so that the relative supply of air and liquid may be varied.
