496,369. Operating clutches. FICHTEL & SACHS AKT.-GES. April 6, 1938, No. 10554. Convention date, April 6, 1937. [Class 80 (ii)] A throw-out bearing for clutches comprises a pressure-transmitting member 11 gripped within a resilient holder which is stamped from a single piece of sheet steel and which comprises a centrally-apertured disc 5 formed with a flanged rim 6 merging into diametrically-opposite semi-cylindrical extensions 7 which fulcrum in corresponding depressions 8 in the operating levers 9. Tongues 12 struck from the parts 7 engage the sides of the levers 9 to prevent lateral movement of the holder. The extensions 7 are held in the depressions 8 by U-shaped wire springs 13, one arm of each of which engages a recess in the lever 9 while the other arm engages in a notch 14 in the part 7. By bending the holder slightly the member 11 can be withdrawn therefrom.
