Abstract

161,069. Read, G. C. April 8, 1920. Knobs, attaching.-In means for attaching door knobs to spindles in which a spring carried by the knob is adapted to engage serrations in the spindle, the spring 5, mounted externally on the neck of the knob, is passed through an inclined slot 4 in the neck, its outer end 6 being bulged in such a manner that a tool can be inserted under the bulged part to lift the inner end of the spring sufficiently to allow the knob to be withdrawn.
