[Class 27] [Also in Group XIX] A registering coin-savings bank comprises a rectangular casing, Fig. 4, open at its lower end and having a coin slot 15<1> in its upper end, a window 551 in one side wall, a door 10<1> for the lower end and registering mechanism mounted on a plate 16<1> insertable as an entity through the lower end of the casing, the plate 161 having means 17<1>, 191 for positioning it within the casing. The coin is inserted in the slot 15<1> and is pushed to the left by the manual movement of a slide 41<1>. During this movement, the coin engages the end 46a of a lever 43<1> pivoted at 44<1> and rocks this lever clockwise to move a spring arm 48<1> into the next hole 311 of an indicating disc 23<1>, this disc being held against anticlockwise rotation by a pawl 521. When the lever 43<1> is returned by a spring 51<1>, the arm 48<1> advances the indicating disc 23<1>, over-run being prevented by a further arm 49<1>. The indicating disc 23<1> has date figures viewed through the window 55<1> and is provided with a tooth 30<1> which operates a month-name indicating disc 32<1>. The indicating disc 231 can be adjusted by a key inserted through an opening 29<1>.
