Abstract

494,350. Spraying-apparatus; valves. FLETCHER, S. B. April 29, 1937, No. 12267. [Classes 69 (iii) and 135] A spray gun or lance is provided with a casing 1 having a relatively direct passage for the fluid, a valve member 14 in said passage and adapted to move in an inclined path relatively thereto, a hand grip 2 disposed on the gun between the casing and the spray nozzle, and a valve-operating lever 19, or trigger disposed adjacent to the hand grip 3 so that manipulation and operation of the gun or lance is facilitated. A hose is adapted to be connected to the casing 1 at 7 and a tube 2 at 4. The spring pressed valve 14 is provided with a spindle 9 passing through a bush 8 provided with packing 10 and a gland 11. The operating lever 19 is pivoted at 17 to a lug 18 on the casing and is provided with a forked end for engaging with the valve spindle.
