492,977. Cartridges for toy firearms. FREEMAN, C. T. May 4, 1937, No. 12666. [Class 9 (i)] A cartridge for firing projectiles from toy firearms comprises a body-part 1 with a bore 2 to receive the projectile, and a channel 4 communicating with a chamber 3 in which one or more caps are placed. A member 5 is coupled to the part 1 by screw threads or by a bayonet-joint to close the chamber 3, the part 5 carrying a firing pin 8 having a head 10 and a deflector 12. The cartridge is placed in the toy firearm and fired by the usual striker 14, the effect of firing being to compress the air behind the projectile in the bore 2 and so expel the projectile.
