Abstract
492,808. Pressing-roller mountings for drawing and roving frames. FRASER, G. S., and FRASER, N., and FRASER, (nÚe SCOTT), J. J., FRASER, N., FRASER, G. S., and KYD, J. A., [Representatices of FRASER, J.]. Feb. 27, 1937, No. 5971. [Class 120 (ii)] In a drawing, roving, or like frame, means for lifting the slip or pressing retaining rollers 7, Figs. 1 and 2, comprises for each roller a lever 4 having a laterally projecting pin 5 which enters with substantial clearance the axial bore 6 in the slip roller, the latter being normally free to co-operate with the retaining rollers 9, 10 but being lifted clear thereof, as shown dotted, Fig. 1, when the lever is rocked by the handle 4a in the direction A. Pairs of levers 4 are pivotally mounted on the fixed rod 1 which supports the sliver guide brackets 2 and are spaced apart by a stop bracket 3. A snug 8 is provided on each lever 4 and in the lowered position engages a stop 3a so that the pin 5 is clear of the wall of the bore 6 while in the raised position the snug 8 engages a stop 3b.
