Abstract

361,237. Sliver condensers and guides for drawing-apparatus. CASABLANCAS, F., 39, Montserrat, Sadabell, Barcelona, Spain. March 16, 1931, No. 8038. Convention date, March 17, 1930. Addition to 341,665. [Classes 120 (i) and 120 (ii).] Condensing - guides mounted and arranged in pairs between the retaining and drawing members as described in the parent Specification are connected to the coupling member 3 by the engagement of a flat 22 formed on the shanks 2 of the guides with projections formed by indenting the member 3. To facilitate manipulation a handle 33 is secured to the tube wnich, together with a flexibly supported weight 35, serves to counterbalance the guides and maintain them in position in the nip of the drawing- rollars. The size and characteristic of the condensers appropriate for different rovings may be indicated by suitably colouring tha weight 35 or a disc 34 on the handle, A removable hook is provided to engage the coupling-member to prevent displacement when the top rollers are removed.
