[Class 52 (iii)] A receptacle for cups, saucers, and other picnic utensils, convertible into a folding table, comprises box-like frames hinged to open to an upright or inverted-V-form, the frames or the table surfaces being supported by hinged struts. In one form, receptacles 1, 2 forming the legs of the structure are hinged together at 3, and tray-like covers 5, 6 of these receptacles are hinged thereto and supported in the raised position by pivoted struts 8, 8<1>, end extensions of the table surfaces abutting in the middle of the table top. Plates may be stowed in a rack 4, Fig. 3, in one of the receptacles, by insertion through notches 12 in the rack bars. The table tops accommodate deck chairs on their under surfaces. In the form in which the receptacles are arranged as an upright V, the struts support them from the ground and the table surfaces span the open top of the V. A subsidiary folding table may be hinged to ledges on the inside of the receptacle frames and span the frames when open.
