Abstract

492,144. Turbines. GES. FUR LINDE'S EISMASCHINEN AKT.-GES. Feb. 26, 1938, No. 6146. Convention date, Feb. 27, 1937. Addition to 433,800. [Class 110 (iii)] The turbine described in the parent Specification is provided with a diffuser in its exhaust formed of an outer diverging pipe 7 and an inner cone piece 8. A similar arrangement is shown for a turbine with axial flow. The diffuser may be divided by longitudinal partitions and each of the separate passages so formed may be controlled by a butterfly valve. An expansion joint may be inserted after the turbine diffuser.
