[Class 39 (i)] [Also in Group XX] A screen for electric gas discharge tubes comprises two layers of luminescent glass with an interposed translucent layer of a material which is transparent to the ,exciting radiation. As embodied in a lamp the screen forms the envelope or a sleeve surrounding it. The two layers of luminescent glass may be the same such as uranium glass or glass having different luminescent properties may be used.
