Abstract
490,676. Television. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE. Feb. 15, 1937, No. 4541. Convention date, March 19, 1936. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 16, 1937.] [Class 40 (iii)] A circuit arrangement for separating line and frame synchronizing pulses in a television system comprises a screen-grid valve 10, to the control grid of which the synchronizing pulses (differing in duration) are applied and having in its anode circuit the line-deflecting coil 11 of a cathode-ray tube, the coil 11 being shunted by a circuit including a rectifier 12, and a resistance capacity network 15 being connected in the circuit of the screening grid. With this arrangement a saw-tooth wave form at the linefrequency is generated in coil 11 and pulses at the frame-frequency may be taken from network 15 at point A and applied directly or through an amplitude-selecting stage to a sawtooth oscillator for the frame-frequency. A network 14, comprising resistance 18 shunted by capacity and having a time-constant at least of the order of a line period and which may be greater than a frame period, is connected in series with rectifier 12. Specification 400,976 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also a similar arrangement for use in a system in which one or more line pulses are omitted before a frame pulse, particularly for a system with interlaced scanning. The network 14 is replaced by a potential source of lower potential than the anode source 13, and the pulses at the frame-frequency may be taken off from the network 15, which contains inductance, through a transformer coupling. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
