Abstract

423,394. Valve generating circuits. RADIOAKT.-GES. D. S. LOEWE, 10, Wiesenweg, Steglitz, and SCHLESINGER, K., 39, Friedrichstrasse, Friedrichshagen, both in Berlin. May 1, 1933, No. 12578. Convention date, June 1, 1932. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Nov. 3, 1933.] [Class 40 (v)] Relates to grid-controlled glow-discharge relaxation-oscillation generators used for controlling the scanning frequencies in television. According to the invention the period of discharge is kept constant by inserting a resistance in the discharge circuit of the grid-controlled discharge tube. In addition an auxiliary control voltage may be applied to the grid of the discharge tube as described in Specification 423,583. The generating tube 1 is charged through a screen-grid valve 38, the control potential of which is tapped off from a potentiometer 25 in the H.T. supply network. The synchronizing signals are applied to the grid of the discharge tube 1 from the terminal 31 together with a control bias from a resistance 21. The tilting oscillations are produced by the discharge of the condensers 17, 18, or 19, through the discharge tube 1 and a series resistance 28, and are fed to the cathode ray tube via the terminals 29, 30. The frequency of the oscillations is controlled by the resistance 28, and by the choice of the condensers 17, 18, and 19. The oscillator is contained in a screening case, and the circuit components are also individually screened, as shown in dotted lines.
