Abstract

490,533. Cathode-ray tubes. BAIRD TELEVISION, Ltd., and JONES, V. A. Feb. 16, 1937, No. 4648. [Class 39 (i)] A linear mosaic electrode 4 is enclosed in a shielding box composed of two parts 1, 2, which are welded together and have slits 3 narrower than those in the electrodes 5, 6 placed within the box and one on each side of the mosaic. This may be formed of a metal rod which has an insulating coating and on to which the elements 9 are threaded ; or a conducting coating may be placed on the insulating coating and divided by scribing or engraving into discrete areas. The mosaic may be used in apparatus as described in Specification 461,197.
