Abstract

489,159. Junction boxes. WHEELER, F. H. April 12, 1938, No. 11196. Addition to 399,902. [Class 38 (i)] . A junction box having internal partitions 8, 25 as described in the parent Specification has the conduits 13, 14, 20, 21, 30, 31, leading to the box terminated at the ,wall of the box and the cables emerging from the conduits are laid in removable troughs 40.. 42 extending to the partition forming the compartment in which the respective cable connections are made. The troughs are open at the top and of rectangular cross-section being supported at one end in rectangular gaps in the partitions by means of flanges 44 and at the other end by lugs 46 engaging with fittings 48 secured to the wall of the box. A closure slide to fill any gap in a partition when not in use may be provided.
