489,122. Counting-apparatus. REINERS, W., (trading as SCHLAFHORST & CO., W.). March 24, 1937, No. 8688. Convention date, May 14, 1936. Addition to 416,260, [Group IX]. [Class 106 (i)] [Also in Group IX] A counting-apparatus 144 for stopping the spindles of a yarn-winding machine after a predetermined number of revolutions comprises a counting train, the individual wheels of which may be severally set by the use of a key, each wheel being actuated through individual gearing so that the predetermined member is set up in the counter. The counter is driven by a chain drive 140, 141, 142 from the spindles and counts backwards and on reaching zero actuates a detent 77a which releases a rod 118 connected to the lever 79 controlling the spindle clutch &c. The previously determined figure is again set up in the counter by pressure on a resetting lever 145.
