Abstract
488,913. Pipes. AKT.-GES. FUR TECHNISCHE STUDIEN. Dec. 24, 1937, No. 35782. Convention date, Dec. 24, 1936. [Class 99 (ii)] A pipe for conveying hot gases consists of an inner tube 1 of mild steel with a thin heat-resisting lining 5 of aluminium, chromium, &c. and an outer coaxial tube 2 of sheet steel, the intermediate space being filled with heat-insulating material 3 such as asbestos, glass wool, hard-burned kieselguhr stone, &c. The inner tube may, if necessary, also be provided with a heatresisting coating. The ends of adjacent inner tubes are in telescopic engagement, and part 4 of the insulating material may be located around the outer tube.
