Abstract

352,894. Joints for pipes. KOHLER, C., 19, Hardturmstrasse, Zurich, Switzerland. Jan. 15, 1931, No. 1411. Convention date, Feb. 14, 1930. [Classes 99 (i) and 99 (ii).] The outer pipe of two concentric pipes comprises alternate one-part and two-part lengths 1, 2, the joints or breaks in the inner pipe 3 being located in the two part sections. The pipes 3 have fins 4 and their ends are spaced and carried by fireclay liners 5<1>. The liners are in halves which are secured to the halves of the sections 2 or are secured together and positioned by internal shoulders on the parts 2. The space between the pipes may be filled with heat non-conducting material.
