Abstract

In the manufacture of a composite tube or rod of any desired length of hardened artificial resin and metal or other heat resisting material, one of said tubes or rods is inserted in a cold or slightly heated condition into the other tube which is heated, and the assembly then allowed to cool. For example, a metal tube or rod is inserted into a hot tube of hardened artificial resin as the latter issues from its forming mould. Specifications 327,012, [Class 99 (ii)], 380,824, 388,662, and 403,905, [Group XVI], are referred to.
