[Class 100 (iv)] Type-line indicators.-A device for enabling corrected lines of type to be printed in place of previously-erased lines comprises a container from which the printed web is fed between laterally-adjustable side guides and under springs which act to keep the web taut, and an indicating-rule adapted to be secured in longitudinally - adjusted position. The container is formed from two strips of metal 3 bent at one end into tubular form, one part being adjustable relatively to the other on a pin 2a which forms the support for a web roll during normal operation of the machine. The outer edges 3e of the strips 3 form guides for the edges of the web 5, and springs 3f act as a brake to prevent slackness during feeding of the web by rollers 7, 8 ; lateral guides 6 are associated also with the feed-rollers. An indicator 12, preferably formed of glass of semicircular cross-section and provided with a hair-line, is carried by a guide 11 movable on a side element 1 of the frame of the machine, the guide being provided with a number of apertures whereby it can be retained in desired position.
