487,515. Handle fixings. FORWARD ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and TWIGG, S. H. Feb. 6, 1937, No. 3582. [Class 61 (i)] A handle d is secured in a split socket f on a suction &c. cleaner or sweeper by means of a band clip g secured to the split socket and having at one end a pivot loop h for a pivoted fixing bolt in and at the other end a cranked extension i slotted at k; when the fixing bolt is in clamping position with the wing nut or bent washer &c. p engaging the cranked extension i the bolt enters a slot n in the socket f and engages a peripheral groove o in the handle providing a positive hold therefor. Brackets r, s are provided for coiled flex together with a suspension loop q.
