Abstract

486,234. Two-part couplings. TUNG STALITE, Ltd., and WECHSLER, B. March 13, 1937, No. 7439. [Class 38 (i)] A multi-filament lamp of the type having bayonet pins 18 mounted on a ring 17 rotatable relatively to the cap 14 so that the lamp can be turned in its holder to bring alternative contacts 12, 13 into engagement with one of the holder contacts, is provided with means for lifting the said holder contact when the lamp is turned. The lifting means may consist of a bevelled radial projection 16 on the surface 15 of the insulating body of the cap. The ring 17 may be external to the cap, and an insulating liner may be inserted in the cap.
