Abstract

485,827. Hand-stamps. FIEDLER, M., (trading as FIEDLER, M., [Firm of]). Sept. 24, 1937, No. 25966. Convention date, Nov. 4, 1936. [Class 100 (ii)] Relates to handstamps wherein the impression is made with the aid of an ink-ribbon 5, which is wound on two supply rolls 1, 2 and passes across the face of the stamp, and is so mounted that it is not unwound from the supply rolls, or only slightly so, by the movement of the stamp to printing position, and consists in so disposing the supply rolls on the frame 4 of the device that the ribbon can be progressed by hand. The rollers may be rotated against the action of spiral springs pressing axially against the ends of the rollers. As shown, the device comprises a stamp 6 depressed by means of a knob 8. In a modification, the rollers 1, 2 move with the stamp, and in a further modification the stamp is curved and is rocked over the work.
