Abstract
482,496. Printing-machines. NILSSON, H. D. L. Sept. 1, 1937, No. 23882. Convention date, Sept. 3, 1936. [Class 100 (ii)] [Also in Group XX] An instrument for marking scales on drawings comprises a marking roller movably mounted on a shield plate and normally held in a re tracted position by a spring. A finger piece is provided to enable the roller to be moved tc the operative position. The Figure shows a pricking - roller 8 held by a leaf spring 11 on a pivot pin at the bottom of a plunger 4, which is guided on the shield plate 1 by staples 2, 3, and is normally held in the uppermost position by a leaf spring 14. The plunger may be depressed by means of the knob 5. The roller 8 is interchangeable and in a modification is replaced by a printing- roller against which an inking roller is resiliently held by an extension of the spring 14. A printing-roller carrying scale numbers may be arranged alongside the roller marking the scale graduations. A pricking - roller and a printing-roller may be mounted on the same shield plate for alternative use.
