484,008. Securing globes and reflectors to holders. LEEVERS, F. W., and METROPOLITAN-VICKERS ELECTRICAL CO.. Ltd. Nov. 4, 1936, No. 30059. [Classes 39 (iii) and 75 (ii)] A fitting for supporting a globe, reflector, or the like of an electric lighting or heating appliance comprises a gallery ring 1 and one or more fixed lugs 3 arranged opposite to a pair of lugs 4, 4<1> mounted on the arms of bell-crank levers 5, 51 the other arms of which engage a pin 7 mounted on a slidable operating member 8 projecting outwardly through the gallery at a point between the movable lugs and biassed by a spring 11 so that normally the lugs 4 are urged outwardly against the inner surface of the globe or reflector but may be retracted for the removal of the globe or reflector by an outward movement of the member 8. In a modified form the lug or lugs 3 are slidable and are directly connected with the pin 7 so as to be retracted with the lugs 4, 4<1>.
