483,251. Conveyers. SYMES, S. J., LANCASTER, E., and WHITTINGHAM, E. K. Feb. 2, 1937, No. 3044. [Class 78 (i)] A portable conveyer unit for use in loading and unloading railway wagons comprises a frame a mounted on wheels b, c and carrying at one end an overhanging endless-belt conveyer b which projects into the wagon, and at the other end a roller conveyer d having side rollers a for facilitating lateral removal of goods from the roller conveyer. The motor k which drives the conveyer h may also drive the carriage wheels c through a clutch. A ramp e may be provided at the extreme end of the roller conveyer and the space between the two conveyers may be bridged by a plate m.
