Abstract
481,009. Vehicle spring suspensions. MORRIS COMMERCIAL CARS, Ltd., and ROSE, P. G. June 12, 1937, No. 16367. [Class 108 (ii)] In vehicles in which the axle casings, halfaxles or the like are adapted to swing vertically about a central frame member and are disposed obliquely in plan as described in Specification 481,005 the swinging movements are frictionally damped. As shown the hub 4 of the axle casing 2 is provided with a flange 5 between which and a spring pressed plate 11 is disposed a friction annular disc 10. The plate 11 is slidably but non-rotatably mounted on an annular flange 9 secured to the median frame member 3 and is under the control of a series of spiral springs 13.
