Vibration-dampers.-A shock absorber of the friction-disc type for damping vehicle springs comprises a hub member 15 secured to the vehicle frame and provided with a flanged disc 15a holding a friction disc 19, and a second flanged disc 11 locked to the disc 15<a> in a rotary direction but free to move axially, the disc 11 holding a second friction disc 9. A spring 13 is arranged between the discs 15<a>, 11 to press the friction discs 9, 19 against the casing 5 and its cover 23. The. casing is provided with the usual arm 25 connected to the axle &c.
