[Class 61 (ii)] Tongs for gripping plates &c. comprise jaw member a, b connected by pin and slot l, k and each provided with two reversely arranged gripping points, e, g and f, h engaging the work i on opposite sides. In the modification shown in Fig. 2, the jaw members m, n are connected by links o to a lifting ring p, and in another modification, Fig. 4, each jaw m, n carries a pair of pins q, r, the pins r engaging a hole s and opening t in member n; jaws r recessed to grip a wire u may be assembled on the pins q, r.
