Abstract

477,780. Drop-side cots. BRYANT & SONS, Ltd., C., HILEY, C., and LEE, S.J. July 10, 1936, No. 19121. [Class 52 (ii)] Fastening means for a dropside cot comprise an angularly movable part 3, Fig. 2, depend-' ing from horizontal rod parts 6 having at their outer ends arms 8, Fig. 4, at an angle to the rod parts and extending inwardly when the drop-side is raised, and resting on brackets 11 on the corner posts 9. The rods 6 are supported on the lower rail 4 of the dropside, and the part 3 is moved outwardly and upwardly to disengage the arms 8 from the bracket 11 to lower the side. The part 3 may be a weighted handle cast upon the ends of the rods 6, and may be spring controlled. A projecting guard 12 is provided above the bracket 11.
