Abstract

477,564. Fusible cut-outs; coupling- links. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and WILSON, C. A. July 31, 1936, No. 21273. [Class 38 (i)] In a bridge-carrier fuse or connecting link, an insulating tube 3 to contain the cartridge fuse or link is provided with contacts 1 to which the tags 2a of a cartridge fuse 2 are attached by bolts 11, the contact blades 5 passing through the walls of the tube 3. The handle 6 is secured by screws 7 which are tightened by a screw-driver inserted through holes 8. The contacts 1 are secured by screws to the tube 3 and the slots through which the blades 5 pass may be extended to the end of the tube. A handle knob with a screwed stem to engage a bush may be used, while screwed plugs may be applied to the ends of the tube 3.
