Abstract

508,077. Fusible cut-outs. REYROLLE & CO., Ltd., A., and LAWSON, C. S. Dec. 23, 1937, No. 35614. [Class 38 (i)] A fuse assembly comprises a number of cartridge fuse units A connected in series and /or parallel, the units being constructed, for example, as described in Specification 508,078, of ceramic tubes enclosing fusible clements connected to rod-like terminals fixed in position by cement. The units may be mounted between two plates F as in Fig. 6, the terminals B being screwed or soldered in position and the plates being provided with contact blades F<SP>1</SP>. The plates may be cut according to requirements from large sheets perforated at equal distances all over. In the arrangement shown in Fig. ,8, the units are staggered and connected in parallel, while in Fig. 9 they are placed side by side but electrically connected in series by links G.
