Abstract
467,860. Protective arrangements. SIEMENS BROS. & CO., Ltd., and GOODWIN, W. E. Feb. 18, 1936, No. 4880. [Class 38 (iv)] Metal electrodes separated by a spacer of insulating material having a perforation forming an enclosed discharge gap, are sealed on their edges or are largely enclosed by a moulded cover of insulating material. In the form shown in Fig. 1A, electrodes 1, 2 of channel form are separated by an insulating spacer 3 with perforations, the whole being embedded in a moulded casing 5 formed with channels in which project parts of the electrodes for connection to the spring or other contactors. The electrodes may be connected by rivets 4 of rubber or other insulating material. In modifications, two electrodes may be spaced apart from a central electrode by two perforated spacers.
