476,654. Draught-excluders for doors. DUMAS, J. March 4, 1936, No. 6607. Void. Convention date, March 7, 1935. [Class 20 (iii)] A hinged draught-excluder for the bottoms of doors and the like consists of a felt pad 1 riveted in a copper strip 2 mounted on a door by means of a rod 5 and strap-hinges 9. The rod is bent at each end to form strikers 11 which engage the door post and depress the strip. The strip is raised when the door opens by springs pinned beneath the hinges or elsewhere. When mounting the strip, the striker 11 not required is cut off. A striker plate 13 is mounted on the jamb.
