Abstract

264,971. Bolt, W. H., Garner, W. C., and Shuttleworth, F. Nov. 26, 1925. Draught - excluders. - A sliding bar draught-excluder for the bottom of a door, &c., is housed in a metal casing A in the grooved bottom edge of the door so as to be invisible. The excluder is depressed on to the floor on closing the door by an adjustable spring - pressed plunger c<9> which engages the hinge post and is operatively connected by links c<3>, c<2>, to a rod c supported by and connected to the excluder by parallel links c, c'. The excluder stip is guided at one end by an upright b' attached thereto and sliding between rollers b<2>. A second spring c<10> may be provided to act on the end of the rod C. The excluder strip may consist of a strip of rubber, felt, or held in a metal clip.
