Abstract

475,232. Road vehicles ; spring suspensions. ALVIS-STRAUSSLER, Ltd., and STRAUSSLER, N. Jan. 20, 1937, No. 1700. [Classes 108 (i) and 108 (ii)] A trailer vehicle especially adapted for carrying aircraft bombs comprises a central torsionally flexible frame member A having at each end means for suspending wheel axles. The axles are connected to pivoted brackets d<1> which are connected at each end to the frame member A by a spring E and a pivoted rod d<2>. The spring E is clamped to a lever C which is connected to a hydraulic cylinder B and ram b<3>, screw or like means whereby on rotating the lever C the height of the frame A may be varied as desired. Cradles H, H<1> may be carried by the frame member A for carrying the bombs or the latter may be suspended from the cradles.
