Abstract

<PICT:0474570/IV/1> The apparatus described in the parent Specification comprising a pair of positively driven rollers each supported at one end and inclined with respect to one another, is modified in that the rotatable bearing of one of the rollers is provided with a lever arm, which can be fixed in the desired inclination by means of an adjusting spindle. The adjustable rod connection in the apparatus of the parent Specification is dispensed with. As shown in the drawing, the main driving spindle 1 carries at the individual spinning station a helical wheel 2 which drives spindle 3 with roller 4 through wheel 5. The driving mechanism is enclosed in a casing 6. The lever arm 9 is mounted on the casing 6, and is provided with a fork 10 in which a nut 11 is rotatably mounted. The nut is engaged by the spindle 12 which is mounted in bearing 13 so as to swing about journal 14 so that the spindle and nut can follow the swinging movements of the lever arm. The adjusting spindle is provided with a four-sided head for a key which can be operated through a hole 16 in the cover 17. The cover 17 which is water and acid-tight, separates the adjusting mechanism and the bearings of the fixed and pivoted rollers from the roller chamber.
