473,261. Centrifugal separators. AKTIEBOLAGET SEPARATOR. June 24, 1937, No. 17592. Convention date, July 4, 1936. [Class 23] Rubber latex or similar liquid to be separated is supplied to the bowl in such a manner that it hits the free surface of the rotating latex so that coagulation is avoided. A feed tube 1, Fig. 1, extends through the central tube 2 of the separator bowl and rotates with it. The latex is discharged as a jet from the outlet 3 of the tube 1 on to the rotating latex surface 4. As an alternative the outlet 3 may be the orifice of a nozzle 5, Fig. 2, arranged to direct the jet of latex nearly parallel to that part of the rotating surface which is hit by the jet.
