Abstract

<PICT:0473022/IV/1> <PICT:0473022/IV/2> A washing, bleaching or dyeing machine comprises a receptacle 11 supported in a casing 10 which is formed with a compartment 14 to house a vacuum cleaner 15 of which the exhaust port is connected through pipes 44, 39 and couplings 47, 41, 37 with an air distribution chamber 16 arranged in the base of the receptacle 11. The chamber comprises a hollow box having a perforated and undulating upper face. Condensers 59 are fitted in the cover and the receptacle is provided with a float 56 which controls a tap 52 to a gas burner or a switch to an electric heating element. A discharge cock comprises a conical plug 92 having radial and axial bores 96, 95, rotatably mounted in a conical casing 90 which is provided with a port 93 connected to the receptacle. The plug is supported by a discharge spigot 67 screwed into the casing 90 and the upper part of the plug is provided with a segment shank 98 to receive an operating key, a washer 102 being secured to the plug.
