Abstract

472,900. Television. RADIOAKT.-GES. D. S. LOEWE. March 28, 1936, Nos. 9262 and 9263. Convention dates, March 28, 1935 and Nov. 4, 1935. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] A modulator 16 for synchronizing signals, which can reduce the high-frequency current to zero, co-operates with a modulator 9 for image signals which cannot reduce the highfrequency below a definite residual value. An apparatus 5 controls the peaks of the image signals so that black in the image reduces the electronic current in the valve 9 to zero. The valve is bridged by an adjustable impedance 11 to ensure that a minimum highfrequency current can always pass in the same phase as the electronic current. The capacitative coupling between the grid and anode circuits may be by the internal capacities of the valve. A screening-grid in the synchronizing modulator is earthed at high-frequency by condensers or a series resonant circuit 17, 18. According to modifications, the modulation may occur in a single pentode or hexode, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown). The anode circuit may be tuned to a harmonic of the high-frequency supplied to the controlling grid. Specifications 457,879 and 465,915 are referred to.
