[Class 37] In an electrolytic condenser the anode 1 is cup-shaped and the end wall 15 of the outer vessel 9 constituting the cathode carries a member 10 extending into the hollow cup of the anode so that the anode-cathode separation is substantially con stant. A paste-electrolyte wound condenser may be suspended within the space 14 from the end wall 15 and the two con densers may be used be fore and after a choke ir a smoothing circuit. A vent may be provided consisting of a pierced rubber band 12 around a part of the casing which has perforations 11. Specifications 399,400 and 453,986 are referred to.
